Egyptian Stallion
A small version of the original 1/4 scale piece commissioned by the Pyramid Society as a depiction of the ideal Egyptian Arabian. The artist used his own Arabian Stallion as the model for the original larger work as well as this smaller one. From 1984-1996, these small bronzes were presented as trophies during the futurity classes at the annual Egyptian Event horse show in Lexington Kentucky. A brand-new mold was made in 1996 but was never used, because a medallion took its place as the trophy in 1997.
This reissued limited edition will be produced in a beautiful variety of patinas to set it apart from the original run of 50. Pictured, as an example, is the artist’s personal copy done as a portrait of Cairo Mareekh, the horse it was modeled after.
